The Legacy of Red Apple Inn

Explore the rich history of Red Apple Inn, where dreams and determination have crafted a timeless haven. Business leader Herbert L. initially envisioned the resort. Thomas and Ruby acquired the 500 acres near Heber Springs in 1961, setting the stage for a premier vacation destination and golf retreat. Despite the challenges posed by Greers Ferry Dam and subsequent fire, the inn persevered, offering cherished memories to guests.

In 1995, Dick and Patti Upton, respected Heber Springs residents, breathed new life into the inn. Their commitment to reviving the Thomases’ dream led to extensive renovations, rekindling the inn’s allure. Despite Herbert Thomas’ passing in 1982, his legacy of development for Eden Isle continues to thrive. Through the Uptons’ efforts, the Red Apple Inn continues to honor his vision, weaving a narrative of persistence, resilience, and an enduring commitment to crafting an oasis of luxury.
