Activities
18-Hole Championship Golf Course: The Red Apple Inn’s golf course, which Golf Digest magazine named as one of the “50 most scenic courses in the U.S.,” was recently selected to be part of the prestigious “Natural State Golf Trail.” Hole number 2 was also voted Arkansas' favorite hole by the Arkansas Democrat. Ideal in spring and fall, the course is sculpted from the island's rolling hills and features tree-lined corridors and panoramic vistas overlooking Greers Ferry Lake.
Greers Ferry Lake: Slip away for a day of exploring the lake and taking cool dips into clear, sparkling waters of Greers Ferry Lake. The 34,500-acre lake is also one of Arkansas’ best fisheries. Did you know Greers Ferry is home to the world-record hybrid striped bass and the world-record walleye? A full-service marina, which offers a variety of rental boats and personal watercrafts, is located on the island, just a short distance from Red Apple Inn.
World-Class Trout Fishing on the Little Red River: The Little Red River is known as one of the best trout-fishing streams in the South -- and for good reason! Its cold, clear waters, which flow from Greers Ferry Lake, are teeming with rainbow, cutthroat and brook trout. And the world-record German brown trout (40 pounds, 4 ounces) was caught on the Little Red, which is just some 10 miles from the Red Apple Inn. Numerous outfitters, which provide rental boats and guides services, are available, and the river has several public access areas that are ideal for fly fishing.
Weddings/Rehearsal Dinners/Receptions: Make the Red Apple Inn the memorable location for the big day. With several outside locations for ceremonies and versatile indoor facilities for receptions, we are the perfect location for intimate weddings. Contact the Conference Sales Office for more information.
